How did you get into wedding planning, and what’s the story behind Dee Lee Designs?
I was the go-to planner at my school for all kinds of events, and one day I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own business. It all began with planning my own wedding and getting certified as an event planner. That was the spark.
How would you describe your approach to planning and designing weddings?
I’m a visual storyteller. I see myself as the producer of your wedding day love story. Every detail is intentional and meaningful, and most importantly, I plan and design from the heart.
What’s your favorite part of the wedding day to bring to life?
The build-up to the room reveal! I live for that moment when my clients see the space we’ve dreamt up together—it’s pure magic.
How do you help couples stay calm, present, and enjoy their day?
We provide a dedicated concierge team that checks in with the couple throughout the day. Communication and trust are huge for us—we build that relationship so our clients feel supported every step of the way.
What’s one of your most memorable weddings?
Definitely the one where the couple did a full-on B-Boy dance battle. It was next-level energy in the room—truly unforgettable!
What do you love most about working alongside DJs, photographers, and other vendors?
To me, it’s all about the collaborative energy. We’re a production team, making the event flow as one unit. I also love sharing meals and building camaraderie—it really does feel like a vendor family.

What advice would you give to couples who want a seamless wedding day?
Trust your professionals and have real, honest conversations. Also—hire a planner before booking your venue! Too often couples end up with an unbalanced budget because the venue takes up more than 50% of it.
