San Juan Capistrano
DJ Wrex has played 6 weddings at Franciscan Gardens since 2017. He knows the open courtyard and the brick room upstairs.
Know the venue
Franciscan Gardens is a special events venue in historic San Juan Capistrano, with an open-air courtyard and a brick ballroom, both used for ceremonies and receptions.
Couples here often hold the ceremony and reception in the courtyard under string lights or lanterns, with cocktail hour upstairs in the brick room. We plan sound for both levels.
Recent weddings
Seirha + Ryan, November 2021. A reception in the courtyard hung with lanterns, and a Filipino money dance with family lining up to pin Ryan.
Brenda + Sepehr, March 2024. A reception under string lights, with a Persian knife dance at the cake cutting and nearly the whole room on the dance floor.
Francis + Sogol, July 2017. Sogol surprised Francis with a custom mix ending in Rex’s signature drop. That is how he found out DJ Wrex would play their wedding.
Vendors we’ve worked with here: 24 Carrots (catering), White Blossom Events (planning), Jamie Gentz (coordination), Sugarplum and Company (planning), Confetti Skies (planning), Alexandria Monette (photography), West Imagery (photography), Peter Ascalon (video), Avec Lumière Productions (video), Florals by Isabelle (florals), 8-Bit Photo Booth (photo booth).
