DJ Wrex has played 9 weddings at Hangar 21 since 2019, in both the North and South hangars. He knows the load-in, the patio and how the night moves from ceremony to dance floor.
Know the venue
Hangar 21 is a wedding and event venue at Fullerton Airport with an open indoor hangar, a 4,000-square-foot outdoor terrace and optional helicopter experiences.
Couples here often hold the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception on site, with cocktails on the patio or the tarmac. We plan sound for each area and time the music to the flow of the night with your coordinator.
Recent weddings
Jade + Ian, October 2022. They made their grand entrance by helicopter. Fugees’ “Ready or Not” played as it landed, DJ Khaled and Drake’s “Popstar” for the walk in, and Alesso vs. OneRepublic when they hit the dance floor.
Sandy + Jeff, June 2024. A lion dance team led them into the reception. Uplighting stayed champagne through dinner and turned purple and blue for dancing, with two truss towers of moving heads, and the floor opened with Whitney Houston.
Cherisse + Can, April 2019. Their one ask was a full dance floor. DJ Wrex leaned on old-school jams, with Mitchell De Guzman as MC.

Questions
Have you worked at Hangar 21 before?
Yes. DJ Wrex has played 9 weddings there since 2019, most recently in June 2024.
Can you time music to a helicopter entrance?
Yes. We have cued a three-part entrance to a helicopter landing, with one song for the landing, one for the walk in and one for the dance floor.
Can you work with a lion dance team?
Yes. We have opened the reception with a lion dance at Hangar 21 and coordinate the drums and the hand-off to the grand entrance song.
Can we change the lighting during the night?
Yes. A common setup here is soft champagne uplighting through dinner, then color and moving lights once the dance floor opens.
How do we check availability?
