Interview Questions:

Q1: What inspired you to start BTS Reels, and how did it all begin?

I started as a Makeup Artist/Wardrobe Designer in the entertainment industry 15 years ago. After I would finish styling my looks for the day, I would then use the rest of my time on set taking “BTS (Behind The Scenes) content on my phone for the actors. This is where my love for documenting the unfiltered side of things began.

Q2: How would you describe your style when capturing behind-the-scenes content?

I’ve noticed a very repetitive style of content creating on Instagram-Short, fast edits. I’d like to consider my style a more cinematic storytelling, highlight reel. I don’t force moments or over-direct. Instead, I read the room, feel the energy, and document what’s genuinely happening, as it’s happening.

Q3: What do you love most about showing the real, unfiltered side of weddings and events?

What I love most about showing the real, unfiltered side of weddings is the honesty in it—the laughter that wasn’t planned, the tears that caught someone by surprise, the way a glance or a small touch says more than a thousand posed photos ever could. That’s the magic: when people forget the camera is there, and all that’s left is truth-it’s what makes a story unforgettable.

Q4: How do you collaborate with planners, photographers, and other vendors on the day?

I see every wedding as a team effort—and collaboration is key. On the day, I work closely with all the vendors to ensure I’m complementing their work, not complicating it. I’m mindful of not crossing into their shots or interrupting flow. After 15 years on set, fixing fly away hairs, helping adjusting the dress or even having an emergency safety pin in my belt is always appreciated. At the end of the day, the best content—and the best experience—comes from mutual respect, clear communication, and shared passion.

Q5: What’s a favorite moment you’ve captured that still makes you smile?

I love being a fly on the wall in those intimate moments of a “First Look”. Whether it’s the bride/groom or the bride & father- It’s such a honor to be able to witness those beautiful moments. It still makes me smile because it reminds me that the best moments are never scripted—they’re felt.

Q6: What makes iPhone content like yours such a powerful addition to wedding media?

It’s not posed. It’s not curated. It’s real life. iPhones captures unfiltered, in-the-moment experiences—laughter during makeup, behind-the-scenes jitters, hugs between friends. iPhone content is, instantly viewable & easy to share on social media. What’s better than waking up the day after your wedding getting to instantly relive the magic while waiting for the videographer edits?

Q7: How do you make couples and vendors feel comfortable while you’re filming?

My approach is all about blending in, not taking over. I use minimal, low-profile gear—usually just my phone & gimbal-which instantly puts people at ease. Most couples and guests forget I’m even filming, and that’s exactly the point. I focus on reading the room.If the energy is calm, I stay quiet and observational. If it’s high-energy and fun, I’ll laugh along and capture the vibe from inside the moment—not from behind a barrier. In the end, my goal is simple: make everyone feel like they can be fully present, while I quietly preserve the magic.

Q8: What makes BTS Reels different from traditional videography or social media teams?

Unlike traditional videographers who are focused on long-form edits, a content creator captures the raw, real-time magic—those unfiltered, in-between moments that usually happen when no one’s “officially” filming. Content creators often deliver same-day sneak peeks or within 24–48 hours. This means couples can relive the day right away—in stories, reels, TikToks, or raw photo dumps—without waiting weeks or months for a professional edit. They will receive a file of all the videos I take, which they can later edit more content of their own.

Q9: What advice would you give to couples or vendors who want to capture more candid, in-the-moment content?

Be Present, Not Perfect. The most memorable moments aren’t staged—they’re lived. Encourage couples (and guests!) to relax, let go of expectations, and just be in the moment. That natural laugh, the messy happy tears, the spontaneous dance? That’s the gold.

Q10: Where can people find your work and connect with you online?

You can find my latest work, behind-the-scenes clips, and real wedding moments over on Instagram at @_bts.reels    Come by for a follow & let’s connect!
