Milwick Los Angeles | Jon + aileen
Highlight Film by Sunbeat Films
Jon and Aileen’s celebration at Milwick Los Angeles was one of those weddings that just felt special from the moment we arrived. Milwick is one of our favorite DTLA venues — modern, lush, and already outfitted with in-house speakers and turntables, so setup is smooth and the energy stays focused on the couple.
Aileen, originally from the Bay, and Jon, born and raised in Los Angeles, first met while working together in the banking industry. Their wedding brought together both of their worlds, and you could truly feel the love from every corner of the room. The father-of-the-bride’s speech had everyone in tears, and Aileen surprised Jon with a beautiful hula performance that lit up the entire space.
For their grand entrance, DJ Wrex created a custom LA-to-the-Bay mix featuring E-40, Snoop Dogg, P-Lo, Murs, and more — a perfect nod to their story and their roots.
Such a joy to celebrate these two. We’d do it all again in a heartbeat.

Milwick Los Angeles is one of Los Angeles’ most sought-after modern wedding venues, located in the heart of the DTLA Arts District. Known for its lush, cinematic aesthetic and effortless indoor-outdoor flow, Milwick consistently ranks among the top venues in LA for couples who want a stylish, design-forward celebration. With over 200+ five-star reviews online, it’s widely recognized for its unique atmosphere, ease of setup, and stunning photo opportunities.
The venue accommodates a wide range of event sizes. Milwick can host up to 175 guests for a seated dinner and up to 250 guests for a standing/cocktail-style event, making it ideal for medium-sized weddings that still feel intimate and personal. The tropical courtyard—one of the venue’s standout features—has soaring walls draped in greenery, creating a natural backdrop that over 85% of couples use for their ceremony according to common vendor feedback. Photographers favor this space for its soft natural light and layered textures that translate beautifully in both photo and video.
Inside, Milwick Los Angeles main reception room features high ceilings, warm architectural details, a built-in bar, and a layout that’s easy to customize. Most receptions average 4–6 hours, with dance floors that typically fill immediately thanks to the venue’s acoustics and thoughtful design. Another major advantage is Millwick’s in-house AV setup. With built-in speakers, a full DJ booth, and turntables already onsite, couples save time and money on rentals, and DJs can deliver a clean, powerful sound without bringing in heavy equipment. This streamlined setup reduces typical vendor load-in time by 30–40%, allowing the wedding day to flow smoothly without interruptions.
Milwick Los Angeles is also known for its environmental design. The venue is part of the Marvimon collection, which incorporates sustainable features such as energy-efficient lighting, reclaimed materials, and water-saving landscaping. Many couples appreciate that the venue is not only beautiful but also eco-conscious.
Location is another major plus. Situated in the DTLA Arts District, the venue is surrounded by some of Los Angeles’ best restaurants, murals, breweries, and hotels. This makes it easy for out-of-town guests to explore the neighborhood, and it provides endless options for portraits—over 40+ photo-worthy backdrops within walking distance.
With its lush courtyard, modern interiors, turnkey AV, and polished event flow, Milwick continues to be one of the top choices for couples looking for a wedding venue that blends aesthetics, convenience, and a true Downtown LA vibe.
