Synergy Events is a Los Angeles wedding DJ company led by DJ Wrex. Rex has been DJing weddings and events since 2001, and he mixes live on turntables all night instead of running a playlist. Every wedding gets a plan built around your music, your families and your timeline.
DJ Wrex can also MC your wedding, handling the announcements, introductions and timing so the night runs on schedule without you watching the clock. We play weddings across Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, and travel for destination weddings. DJ Wrex performs at one wedding per day.

Led by DJ Wrex, we specialize in Los Angeles weddings, multicultural celebrations, Filipino weddings, hip hop and R&B-loving couples, and high-energy receptions that feel personal from start to finish.

how your night runs
Ceremony. Music cues for your processional, the walk down the aisle and the recessional, plus a wireless mic for your officiant. We can edit your aisle song so it lands exactly when you reach the front.
Cocktail hour. A separate sound setup with a mix that fits the room, whether that’s R&B, throwbacks or something mellow while guests mingle.
Grand entrance and first dances. Custom edits for your grand entrance, first dance and parent dances, with introductions and name pronunciations set during your planning meeting.
Dinner, toasts and cake. We keep the timeline moving with your planner and venue, have mics ready for speeches, and cue each moment.
Open dancing. Live mixing across hip hop, R&B, Top 40, Latin, EDM and throwbacks, reading the room so every generation ends up on the floor.
Last song. We play until your venue’s end time. Coverage is a flat rate from when guests arrive until the last song, so there’s no overtime to track.

Weddings rarely run exactly to plan. Rex keeps the night steady when they don’t, and your guests usually never notice.
A medical emergency on the dance floor. One couple wrote that he cut the music right away, played calm music while guests were helped, then brought the party back once everyone was okay.
A DJ who cancelled a month out. Another couple found Rex four weeks before their wedding after their original DJ fell through. He got on a call quickly, set them up in the planning app and ran their night as planned.

How much does a Los Angeles wedding DJ cost?
Every package is a flat rate for full-day coverage, with no overtime fees. Pricing depends on your date, location and the production you want. Check your date and we’ll send our packages and pricing if DJ Wrex is available.
Do you provide lighting?
Yes. Synergy Events offers uplighting, dance floor lighting, cold sparks, dancing on clouds, monograms, and other production enhancements.
Can Synergy Events mix different cultures and genres?
Yes. Synergy Events specializes in open-format and multicultural weddings, blending hip hop, R&B, Latin, Top 40, throwbacks, house, Filipino music, and family favorites.
Do you help with ceremony and cocktail hour music?
Yes. We can provide ceremony sound, cocktail hour music, reception sound, and full wedding day music support.
Do you travel outside Los Angeles?
Yes. Travel within 50 miles of Los Angeles is included in every package. We also perform at weddings across Southern California, out of state and abroad. See our destination wedding package.
What is required to book Synergy Events?
To officially reserve your wedding date, we require a signed agreement and a retainer payment of 50%. Once booked, you’ll receive access to our planning tools, music planning system, and ongoing support leading up to your wedding day.
