Two families, one dance floor
Music for everyone in the room
Bilingual weddings bring together guests who grew up on very different music. DJ Wrex reads the room and blends it, so abuelos, cousins and college friends all get their songs.
For announcements, a dedicated bilingual MC can introduce the wedding party, toasts and special dances in English and Spanish.

Bilingual and Latin weddings
Looking for a bilingual wedding DJ? This guide covers how a bilingual wedding DJ works, what to plan for and how to start the conversation with DJ Wrex at Synergy Events.
A DJ for a bilingual and Latin wedding
A bilingual wedding brings two sets of guests who may have grown up on very different music. One side wants cumbia, salsa and bachata. The other wants 90s hip-hop and Top 40. A good DJ does not pick a side. DJ Wrex mixes live so both groups get their songs, and the floor stays full from the first dance to the last song.
At your wedding, DJ Wrex will:
- Plan the reception timeline around your program and traditions
- Work as MC, or work with a bilingual MC you add for English and Spanish announcements
- Mix Latin favorites with hip-hop, R&B and Top 40, so every generation has songs
- Provide professional sound and wireless microphones sized to your venue
- Coordinate with your planner, venue and other vendors
- Arrive early, set up and test everything before guests walk in
Music for two families, one dance floor
Latin music
We play cumbia, salsa, bachata, merengue and reggaeton, and we move between them according to who is on the floor. If your family has regional favorites or songs tied to a memory, add them in the planning app and DJ Wrex will place them where they land best.
Hip-hop, R&B and Top 40
Friends and cousins who grew up on 90s and 2000s hip-hop, R&B and current hits need songs too. We mix those in so no part of the crowd waits too long for its music.
Moving between them
Live mixing makes the transitions smooth. Instead of stopping between genres, DJ Wrex blends them, so the party keeps moving and guests who came for different music end up dancing at the same time.
Multi-generational dance floors
Abuelos, tías, cousins and college friends rarely dance to the same song. We plan the night so each group gets a stretch of music it loves, and we bring them together with songs that everyone knows.
A bilingual MC
A dedicated bilingual MC is available as an add-on. The MC can introduce the wedding party, toasts and special dances in English and Spanish, so every guest follows what is happening and feels included. We also offer MCs in Tagalog, Vietnamese, Mandarin and Cantonese, if your families speak more than one language.
Traditions and special moments
Every family has its own traditions, and the music should fit them.
- Grand entrance. A custom edit of your entrance song, planned with you.
- First dance and parent dances. Edited to the length you want.
- Money dance. Music, timing and MC setup planned in advance.
- Ceremony. Sound with microphones for your officiant and music cues for the processional.
- Special dances. Share songs and timing for any dance that matters to your family.
For ideas on songs for each moment, see our music and planning guide.

How planning works
- Check your date. Send your date and venue through our contact page.
- Talk it through. If DJ Wrex is available, we send packages and set up a 30-minute video call.
- Plan in the app. Add must-play songs, do-not-play songs, special dances and name pronunciations. The app imports playlists from Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, and planning calls are unlimited.
- Hold the planning meeting. About 30 to 60 days before the wedding, we confirm the timeline, announcements and details.
- Enjoy the night. We arrive early, test everything and run the reception to your plan.
Add-ons
Depending on your venue, you can add uplighting, dance floor lighting, Dancing on the Cloud, cold sparklers, monogram projection, custom mixes, live musicians (sax, percussion or violin) and a DJ highlight video. See our wedding add-ons and custom wedding mixes pages.

Working with a bilingual wedding DJ on the day
A bilingual wedding DJ is more than a playlist in two languages. The MC announcements, the toasts, the introductions and the dances all need to reach every guest, and the pacing changes when a message is delivered twice. We plan that with you in advance so the program still flows.
Our MCs work in Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Mandarin and Cantonese. Tell us which languages your families speak, who should be introduced in which language and how you want the toasts handled, and we will build the announcements around that. Share song requests in the planning app, where playlists from Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube import directly.
A bilingual wedding DJ also helps with names. Send us the pronunciations during planning, and we will confirm them again at the final planning meeting 30 to 60 days before the wedding. Planning calls are unlimited, and the first is a 30-minute video call.
DJ Wrex plays one event per day and covers your reception at a flat rate with no overtime. Backup equipment and liability insurance come with every booking. When you are ready, check your date.
